Matthew Tarr, a broker associate for RE/MAX Pros, reports that home sales rose in November in Rohnert Park and Cotati, but the median price dipped for single-family houses.

Buyers in the two cities purchased 29 single-family sales last month, compared to 17 a year earlier, Tarr wrote in his monthly update. However, the median price fell 7 percent to $295,000.

Buyers purchased 16 condominiums, compared to 12 a year earlier.  And the median-priced condo sold for $138,250, a 13-percent jump from November 2010.

Tarr called the price jump “a positive boost to an otherwise dismal year” in the condo market. It was the first month this year when condo prices were higher than for the same period in 2010.
