CPS Real Estate has expanded its operations in Petaluma, acquiring the CPS Golden Land Realty office there.

The Petaluma office has about a dozen agents and brings the total of the company’s agents to more than 180 in Sonoma County, said Chuck Scoble, president and an owner of CPS Real Estate. The acquisition occurred last month.

“Petaluma’s a great market,” Scoble said.

CPS Golden Land Realty was formed in 1971 and had been independently owned and operated since 1986 by Rich Johnson. Johnson will remain as part of the office, which will continue to operate under the Golden Land Realty title, Scoble said.

CPS Real Estate ranks within the top five real estate companies in the county based on home sales, Scoble said.
