1707 Saint Anthony Way in Santa Rosa for $2,500.

According to Zillow, the median rent throughout Sonoma County is $2,250, so today we are looking at our favorite homes in the $2,000 to $2,500 price range. Looking for homes to rent is not an easy task, and many of the homes we liked were already lease-pending.  Here’s a roundup:

Santa Rosa

1707 Saint Anthony Way is a 1,750 square-foot three-bedroom, two-bath home in Southeast Santa Rosa for $2,500.  This is a fairly new house is a single story with an open floor plan, granite countertops, a yard with a Trex deck and fruit trees. It has appliances such as refrigerator, stove and microwave and hookups for a washer/dryer. This home also comes with a front yard landscaper included but pets are not allowed.

Sebastopol

Our first home, 376 Pleasant Hill Ave North is the only home available in Sebastopol in our price range at $2,400 per month.  Located across from Willard Libby Park, it is a two-story with three bedrooms and three baths, a backyard deck and patio and two-car garage. Pets are not allowed, but it does have the desirable feature of a bedroom and bath on the ground floor.  It also comes with appliances including the washer and dryer.

Sonoma

There were three homes in our price range in Sonoma and two are on Verano Avenue. 835 Verano is large at 2,080 square-feet and has a lovely big backyard, but 629 Verano gets an honorable mention because pets are allowed. We chose 18070 Mulberry in Boyes Hot Springs at $2,375 because it is newly remodeled with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, new flooring, lighting and bathrooms. It also has a large backyard and comes with a washer and dryer.  It is 1,200 square feet but it is cute, clean and cozy.

Petaluma

There are fives homes in Petaluma within our budget, but some are pending lease approval.  25 Graylawn is a 1,186 square-foot three-bedroom, two-bath, single-story home with an upgraded kitchen.  It is offered at $2,300 per month.  Pets are negotiable and the house has hardwood and tile floors, a two-car garage and a landscaped back patio with a gardener. Like the home in Healdsburg, it has washer hookups.
