Some mornings I go to use the treadmill at the gym after dropping the kids off at school. The  workout room will usually have one or two older guys using the stationary bikes with CNN turned on super loud to get their news fix before work. Last week, it was just me and one older gentleman, and it was just the time that someone in government had been fired, so we were waiting for the press briefing. Summarily, he became really agitated, got up from the stationary bike and turned all the TVs off, exclaiming, “My god! I need to live somewhere where I don’t hear this foolishness!”
I’m fairly certain that we’ve all had that moment where we just want an off switch for everything around us, and what better place than your own home to be able to escape and turn all the televisions off when you want to? One of the great things about Sonoma County is that there are still places you can live where you can have all the quiet time you want – and usually surrounded by some stunning views of nature.
