It’s easy to get caught up in the luxury amenities that high-end homes come with: wine cellars and caves, movie room, swimming pools, and guest houses. What I haven’t looked out for awhile is what makes a house truly unique – the architecture.
After having a long stretch of time where nothing was jumping out if it didn’t have something decadent – like pool with a bar – because most of the homes were easily identifiable: Craftsman, Mediterranean, Tuscan, Victorian.
So when I found this gem in Sebastopol, I was truly excited. This custom built home looks less like a house, and more like a very large piece of public art. It doesn’t include a lot of the additions most people would expect of a home in this price range – there’s no pool, wine cellar, or sauna, just a large outdoor living space, apple trees, and gardens.
