Live the wine country lifestyle completely – own your own vineyard estate! Topel vineyards and winery is on the market in Mendocino County for $5.4 million.

This week we venture out of Sonoma County to look at what oenophile dream homes are going for in other counties. This Hopland showstopper blends a Mediterranean style exterior with a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired interior.  With 160 surrounding acres and 25 acres of planted vines, the spacious estate is the cherry on the top of an already impressive winery compound.

The main residence is filled with Lloyd Wright’s characteristic Prairie-style furniture, with cool built-in benches and booths that draw inspiration from the natural surroundings. A chef’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, second fridge, and large butcher’s block island showcases some of the best features of the estate including million dollar views of hills, forests, gardens and vines.

Outside there is a European style courtyard, tennis court, pool, spa and outdoor kitchen including a trendy pizza oven on point with the exterior Italian vibe. There are also multiple outbuildings including a guest house, 1,800 case winery and  three-bedroom vineyard managers residence.

All this is pretty cool, but the land itself is a huge draw. Nestled in the heart of the Sanel Valley; cabernet sauvignon, merlot and malbec grapes thrive on the property producing some pretty well regarded Mendocino County vintages.
