Looking for an “affordable” home in Sonoma County? Set your sights on Cloverdale. Our northern neighbor is currently the least expensive major city in the county to invest in a new abode. According to Zillow reports, the median home price for properties in Cloverdale is $551,900. That’s a whopping $330,000 less than the most expensive city, Sebastopol, where homes cost $881,900 on average.

Back in 2010, Budget Travel named Cloverdale one of the “Coolest Small Towns in America,” praising  its local wineries and unpretentious laid back vibe.  It recent years we have witnessed its slow transformation from a sleepy “Mayberry” to a hipster hamlet with cool new restaurants like Trading Post and Plank Coffee leading the way.
