The secret is out! The wine-centric city of Sonoma is one of the “coolest small town’s in America” according to the website Budget Travel, the city described as a “theme park for adults” is the place to be in 2018.

Grouped among nine other U.S. towns with populations of less than 20,000 – Sonoma was selected for it’s combination of culture, history, food and wine.

This isn’t the first time a Sonoma County town has made it to the list, Cloverdale earned a spot in 2010, after it received 74,399 online votes to take the number two spot that year.

Sonoma’s mixture of historic sites, parks, wineries and world-class restaurants have made it a popular place to visit and put down roots. With a median home price of $732,000, Sonoma is one of the more expensive places to purchase a home in the county, but despite the higher market prices, there are still some deals to be found in Sonoma.

This week we scoured the listings for the “coolest” properties on the market under the current city median. Click through the gallery above to take a closer look.
