Today we explore Sonoma County’s most expensive listing, “La Vid” which is actually a cluster of properties on approximately 159 acres at 730-760 Adobe Canyon Road in Kenwood.  Sonoma and Napa share a $22,900,000 listing at 100 Wall Road, the 20,000 square-foot Villa Sorriso, famous for having been owned by the late actor Robin Williams, but we wish to focus specifically on all things Sonoma.

LaVid is being marketed as a compound, which could lead to some interesting family battles as you “experience the joys of togetherness and the freedom of solitude.”  A grouping of four adjacent parcels, it has two with move-in ready custom homes and two lots that are prepped for construction. The completed homes are Casa La Vid at 730 Adobe Canyon Road, which is 5,800 square-feet on four acres, and Casa Sol at 748 Adobe Canyon Road, which is 6,100 square-feet on 103 acres.  Both have private drives and their own swimming pools. The other two parcels are 46.8 acres and 5.7 acres and both have wells and approved septic systems for up to five-bedroom homes.  The property is just up the road from Chateau St. Jean winery and has amazing views and a pond with a dock.

It’s fun to check out lavish places like this despite the fact that almost none of us can afford them.  You can almost see a family like the Kardashians buying this property and bickering over who gets the house with the spa room.  Perhaps a company will buy it as a corporate retreat.  Most likely, a developer will buy it and try to split it up, but it will be interesting to see what happens.  If you want to see more (oh yes, there is a video), visit the website here. If you like seeing places like this, let us know in the comments, and if you would like to see other properties, please let us know too!
