October home sales fall to second-lowest level since 1995

Only 2007 had fewer home sales in October for Sonoma County. The median sales price also dipped 6 percent from September to $342,500.

Foreclosure improprieties could threaten housing market, economist says

Robert Kleinhenz, deputy chief economist with the California Association of Realtors, voiced concerns over investigations that banks failed to properly follow foreclosure laws. He spoke Wednesday at a luncheon of the Women’s Council of Realtors Wine County Chapter.

California home sales down 15 percent from a year ago

The California Association of Realtors reports August home sales up nearly 2 percent from July. But the state recorded almost 80,000 fewer sales than in August 2009.
