From the get go, it's nearly impossible to tell when this home was built. From the Ionic columns to the custom glass entryway, it's a really elegant estate.

This is the driveway leading up to the house. The appreciation for nature starts before you even get there.

Here's what you see when you first approach; it's a very open and inviting house. There are plenty of windows, even in the front, which will ensure plenty of natural light during the day.

This front door is the highest thing on my wish list right now. The fact that it looks to be the size of the entire front half of my home is no matter. Also, probably about half the cost of my house, but I can dream.

Living room. (Photo courtesy of Pacific Union International)
In the living room, the entire wall is created with windows. This creates the illusion of an indoor/outdoor living space - I'm sure the view is just as exceptional during a storm as it is during a sunny day.

Though there's a lot going on in terms of collections, the high beamed ceilings keep the living room from looking overcrowded.

Stepping outdoors, here's what the view of the 3+ acres (and beyond) look like.

Kitchen. (Photo courtesy of Pacific Union International)
This is the casual eating area located next to the kitchen. Letting the homeowner have as many views of the outside as possible is so important there are custom rectangular windows added over the counter.

This kitchen has professional grade appliances, but they're easy to overlook because you're probably looking out the landscape through these oversized windows.

Formal dining area. (Photo courtesy of Pacific Union International) For less casual dinners, there's this formal dining area. The high ceiling is made of solid wooden beams, but the judicious use of windows keeps it from feeling overbearing.

This media room/casual sitting area contains a wine cooler and mini-fridge to make sure beverages and snacks are available during Super Bowl, movie night, or Netflix binge watching.

The master bedroom is as open and welcoming as the rest of the house, and has a separate sitting area for when the occupant just wants to sit and read away from the common areas.

Master bathroom. (Photo courtesy of Pacific Union International)
While I appreciate how much light comes into the master bathroom, it does feel as though the tub and shower are a bit crammed together. That's okay, every house deserves at least one Mulligan.

You can see that the shower wall is literally set on the side of the shower.

To get to the other rooms in the house, you need only to go across this open walkway that overlooks the main living room.

Though smaller, this guest room is no less inviting than the master bedroom.

After touring the inside, we have to check out deck and outdoor seating. On a warm Santa Rosa summer day, what a place for a bbq and ice cold lemonade.

And we can then walk over to the custom pool for a quick swim; or a sunning session poolside.

But swimming isn't everyone's favorite thing to do...and that's okay. There's a spa for just that reason.

When you just want to relax, you can always walk around the grounds to relax on a patio to get away from it all.
